Art Brewer Application and Details
Think you’ve got what it takes to be an Art Brewer? Awesome. Read about the details of the program, then fill out the application below.
Purpose of the FCB Art Brewery:
We believe that brewing is an artfrom, and we want to see individual artists and the art community in general thrive. What better way to do it than to provide financial assistance (in the form of studio rent) for visual artists to combine their art with ours?
Application period: May 1st-24th
Announcement of winner(s): No later than May 31st
Number of Art Brewers: 1-2
Period as an Art Brewer: June 1 – Aug 30
Eligibility and Requirements:
Must be 21+. (Sorry youngsters, we’re sure you’re great, but we can’t have you making art about something you’re not even supposed to have experienced yet.)
Due to the constraints of the FCB Art Brewery (the studio space itself), you must be a visual artist in order to be considered.
Must be able to attend every First Friday Gallery Walk during your 4-month tenure as an FCB Art Brewer and be willing and able to talk with people about your art.
Must be willing to participate in promotional videos and photos about you and your art.
Must produce 2 pieces of unguided beer-inspired artwork per month (June-Sep).
Must produce a label for FCB’s monthly Tap Club beer. If you are the only artist selected for the Art Brewery, you will be responsible for this every month. If you are one of two Art Brewers selected, you will be responsible for this 2 of the 4 months.
Must produce a YouTube video showing your current projects once per month (June-Sep).
Must be able to begin working in the Art Brewery by June 7th (the grand opening of the Downtown Artery).
Must allow prints of your work to be sold via FCB’s FineArtAmerica.com profile. (See below for details.)
Must work in the FCB Art Brewery on a regular and significant basis from June 1-September 30th.
Benefits of being an FCB Art Brewer:
Free use of the FCB Art Brewery inside The Downtown Artery for 4 months for all projects (not just beer-related ones).
VIP Tour and Tasting of FCB.
Promotion of you and your work through FCB’s website, newsletter, social media, press contacts, and friend/family network.
FCB Art Brewers retain full ownership of their works.
FCB is fully licensed to reprint beer-inspired artwork (not other pieces you happen to work on during your tenure as an Art Brewer) for promotional purposes.
FCB retains the right to sell prints of your beer-themed artwork, from which you will receive 50% of the proceeds. (The Let Art Live Campaign will receive the other 50%.)
