A celebration of all things bacon and bourbon

It seems like everywhere we look lately something is being combined with bacon. We remember thinking bacon and chocolate was bizarre, but look around now and you’ll see everything from bacon popcorn to bacon mayonnaise and the truly bizarre bacon flavored baby formula.

Here at Fort Collins Brewery we’re more interested in a proven bacon combination: bourbon and bacon. This flavor combination can be used in cookies, cakes, sandwiches, even jams yet it always remains delicious. Knowing this we decided to celebrate these flavors in some new beers to be released soon.

Introducing our new bacon and bourbon inspired beers:

“Breakfast of Champions”

Maple Bacon Lager

ABV: 4.7 percent

Start your morning off with this delicious breakfast in a glass. Sweet maple syrup and smoky bacon notes dominate this unique brew giving it the perfect balance of sweet and salty. Because the bacon flavor comes from smoked malts instead of actual bacon, it can be enjoyed by carnivores and vegetarians alike.

“Bourbon Brown Betty”

Bourbon Apple Lager with Cinnamon

ABV: 6 percent

Fresh picked apples and top shelf bourbon combine to create this delicious lager. The sweet cinnamon balances out the tartness of the apple while the bourbon flavor sneaks in to round out the creative brew. Bourbon Brown Betty has the delicious aroma of apple pie while containing just enough bourbon to end your sip with a kick.
